ReplyDelete1. The message of Source 2 is that Stalin is a powerful and great leader who is able to lead the country forward to communism and good life. This could be seen from the statement "Under the leadership of the Great Stalin- Forward to Communism" and Stalin being depicted leading the many happy looking people of the country behind him in the poster.
ReplyDelete2.Source 2 is unreliable in showing Stalin being a benevolent leader. This is because the poster, in order to persuade and encourage the people that Stalin was a good and benevolent leader, had used propaganda to depict Stalin being greatly supported and welcomed by the people who led good life under his rule. This was not true as there are still some people who did not led a good life and opposed his rule, else there will be no need for him to publish this poster, but this was not being presented in the poster. Thus it shows that the poster is unreliable in saying Stalin being a good and benevolent leader as it had fabricated Stalin being welcomed by all his people.
The message of source 2 is that Stalin is a capable leader who will bring Russia to power. As seen from source 2"Under the leadership of Great Stalin-Forward to Communism" and the public depicted behind him and smiling suggests that he would be a leader that satisfies the public.-Iris
ReplyDeleteSource 2 is unreliable as the poster was published by the government to influence and persuade the public to follow and trust Stalin as a leader. He used propaganda to get support that he would be a great leader. The fact that he needed to advertise suggests that the public had doubts of him being a good leader.-iris
